The New York Times says we successfully took down a dummy missile warhead over the Pacific today. Myself, I've never thought missile defence was beyond us, not even back in the Reagan Era, just that it would take a while.

But given a choice, I prefer precisely guided particle beam weapons to beefed up Patriot Missiles.
