More Paragraphs

Ok, by popular demand (well, 2 emails) I'm back. I just hate reading myself if I don't have anything to say that's interesting to me -- and I didn't. Saying any more on the Swine Flu particularly turned me off. And I'm not really sure why I published that last post on internecine Methodist hymnal politics. That's a bit ingrown even for me.

One of the reasons I call this blog "A Few Paragraphs" is that I don't want to drone on and on about random subjects; once I've said what I wanted to say, I stop. Taking that to its logical conclusion, if I don't have anything I want to say, I don't even start. There aren't any Google Ads on this blog (though that may change if I ever get greedy and can figure out how to generate vast amounts of traffic for reading my serendipitistic thoughts), so I don't have a monetary motive to desperately post something each day.

One of my old friends from college, who promises to start his own blog someday, suggested I jumpstart this blog by combining my interest in outer space with my penchant for Methodism and post something about Methodists evangelizing Pluto. Actually, that should probably be a novel, along the lines of Robert Heinlein's great Have Spacesuit, Will Travel.

But I'll think of something.
